Sustainability is a matter of course
Of course, we are proud that in 2021 one of the world's largest newspapers "The Guardian" voted us one of the 10 most environmentally friendly hotels in Europe. We are also happy to have won the EU's environmental award for our sustainable construction. It is also great to be named "Overall Best of 10 Years" by the Active House Alliance, a worldwide certification scheme for environmentally sound buildings. For us, sustainability is neither a platitude nor a smart concept. We work responsibly and continuously to develop sustainable measures with consideration for the environment. At the same time, we make sure that you can also have a meeting in beautiful surroundings and stay in a nice room.

Did you know that daylight is crucial for the benefit of your meeting and conference? The more daylight in the room, the more energy you and your meeting participants get. You can therefore look forward to our meeting rooms with window solutions from Velux, which ensure maximum daylight in your meeting room. The meeting rooms are of course beautiful and well-furnished, and you have access to the best possible equipment. Are you a holiday guest?
Did you know that clean air is important for your sleep quality? The rooms at Hotel GSH ensure you a good night's sleep, due to the special carpets thst purifies the air, while the Auping beds ensure that you sleep well. From the rooms you have a nice balcony/terrace with a view of the forest or the large natural grounds around the hotel. The rooms are furnished with different designs. All rooms are furnished with bright furniture from Skagerak, and in the new wing we have used the remaining wood from the building of the rooms to make smart furniture for the rooms, so that nothing goes to waste. Ecology and local products
Included in your room price is of course the delicious breakfast buffet, which is based on ecology and locally produced food - try, for example, our honey, which is made by the hotel's own bees. The large park-like garden at Hotel GSH is laid out with the aim of maximizing biodiversity, and this is something that the bees love.
The location
At Hotel GSH you live right next to the forest, and it is only a short walk through the forest to reach the beautiful sandy beach. The beach is one of Bornholm's secret gems, because it is hidden, and is therefore used almost exclusively by the hotel's guests and the local residents. The forest path also leads you to the center of Rønne, where there is a wonderful square life with cafes, sights and museums. Read more about Rønne here. Furthermore, it is only approximately 2 kilometers to the ferry port, and 5 kilometers to Bornholm Airport. At Hotel GSH you therefore live beautifully, quietly and still centrally.
Roof terrace with hot tub and sauna
When you stay at Hotel GSH you have exclusive access to the roof terrace. Enjoy the view from the new roof terrace at Hotel GSH, where you can enjoy yourself in the lounge furniture or relax in the hot tub and sauna. If you need to be refreshed, you can enjoy the cooled water from the outdoor shower or the tipping bucket. It is of course possible to take a shower both before and after using the facilities in the private bathrooms on the roof terrace.
As an overnight guest at Hotel GSH, you can use the hot tub and sauna for free - you just need to make an appointment by contacting the reception. Bathrobes and slippers are in the room.

Free rental of bicycles
Bornholm's extensive network of cycle paths starts 50 meters from Hotel GSH - and many regulars say that the best way to experience Bornholm is by bike. Therefore, you can of course borrow a bicycle for free when you stay at Hotel GSH.
The green solutions
Guests from all over the world come to see our sustainable building methods and our work with sustainable measures. You are of course also very welcome to get a story about our work with sustainable initiatives. For example, Hotel GSH was built and renovated taking into account the cradle-to-cradle principles. This means that the new buildings are constructed so that the materials can be reused in the future. Solar cells generate power for the hotel. Recycled glass from the local glass designer Pernille Bülow has been transformed into glass paths in the park. The large natural grounds at the hotel are landscaped with a focus on biodiversity. Therefore, you will often meet deer, hares and rabbits. The kitchen waste is converted into biogas. Water from showers is cleaned and reused for toilet flushing. Petrol-guzzling lawnmowers have been replaced by cozy sheeps. Hotel GSH is, of course, environmentally certified with the Green Key. Read more here.
Restaurant
When you are a meeting guest, you can look forward to delicious food in the restaurant for lunch, afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not open to individual guests, but if you are a holiday guest, we recommend the restaurants at our two sister hotels: Griffen Spahotel and Fredensborg Badehotel, which are just 700 meters from Hotel GSH.
Disability accessibility
Hotel GSH of course lives up to the labeling scheme "Good Access", so you can easily stay or have your meeting with us if you ex use a wheelchair.
Parking and charging stations
As a guest at Hotel GSH, you can park for free and right next to the hotel, and of course there are CLEVER charging stations if you have an electric car with you.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in special outdoor areas. Smoking is therefore not permitted indoors or on the hotel's terraces/balconies.

Meeting & Conference
Bathing rules
- Use of the spa area may only take place after careful soaping of the entire body and subsequent showering. Tanning oils etc. must be washed off in the same way before bathing in the spa area.
- The toilet must be used before washing off.
- After each visit to the toilet, washing must be done again.
- Swimwear must be clean.
- Outdoor footwear may only be used in the designated areas.
- People with foot warts or athlete's foot may only use the spa area if they are being treated for the disease in question.
- People with infectious jaundice (hepatitis) must be declared healthy by the attending physician before bathing can be permitted.
- People suffering from other infectious diseases diseases (winter vomiting disease, colds, sore throat, ear infection and skin inflammation) may not use the spa area.
- The spa area may not be used by people who cannot hold urine or faeces.
- The hotel's general rules of order must be followed.
